This website is a working group for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey in Cornwall. As the OPC I will keep you up to date with the status of the transcription process and try my best to help you with your research as soon as possible.

Lanteglos-by Fowey and the surrounding area mean a lot to me personally, my Great Great Grandfather Nathaniel Penter built the Chapel of Ease St. Saviour's (shown above right) as well as the girls school.

I hope that people will be able to contribute to this space so that it begins to reflect the memories of many whose ancestors have lived in the parish over the years.


We are a worldwide group of volunteers who compile reference material for particular parishes in Cornwall, which we gladly share with researchers at no cost. Many of us have records such as transcripts of parish registers (B,M,D), Bishop's transcripts, and tax records, as well as other data. While some have established websites to hold their data, others prefer to receive email requests and reply to the individual. All of us help people to the best of our abilities.
